Dungeon quests

A dungeon run with all its quests is still the biggest chunk of experience on the way to 30. Since the October 1 update the dungeon quests give about 2.2 times Classic’s experience, against 3.1 times before: Blizzard halved the part above a normal quest.

The catch is that most of them are not given at the dungeon’s door but in a capital or a camp across the zone, and some need another quest first. Pick your faction and level: the quests to pick up are listed below place by place, tick them as you go.

Quest XP by dungeon

The experience the quests of each dungeon give, faction by faction, and how many levels that makes for a character at the bottom of the dungeon’s range. The multiplier is against Classic, in brackets before October 1.

Before you go

  1. Some need another quest first. Sometimes a whole chain: “The Stockade Riots” starts with the letter VanCleef drops at the end of the Deadmines. When the quest before is marked optional, it only leads you to the giver and you can skip it.
  2. No bonus before the door. “Collecting Memories”, “Oh Brother...”, “The Essence of Aku'Mai” and “Researching the Corruption” are done on the way to the dungeon, without going in: they give what they gave in Classic.
  3. Once is enough for the experience. Once your quests are handed in, another run only gives the monsters’ experience. Run it again for its loot if you want, then move on to the next dungeon or back to the quests of your zone. For levels 20 to 30, see Get ready for level 30 .

Quests, givers and chains come from Classic’s quest data and Forever’s new quests; the experience is what the beta server gave, halved per the October 1 blue post; reward tooltips are read from the beta client.
