Cozy Sleeping BagWoW Forever beta

The Cozy Sleeping Bag is back in WoW Forever. Put it down anywhere and rest in it: after one minute you gain 1% more experience, then up to 3% after three minutes. The bonus lasts two hours.

It brings back the Season of Discovery quest chain, with no real quest giver: you find and click a series of objects hidden across Azeroth, from Westfall and the Barrens to Thoradin’s Wall.

The chain is open from level 14, Alliance and Horde alike. Along the way you also pick up two 12-slot bags and a choice of ranged weapon. This guide covers each step, with its places on the map and its rewards.

The quest chain

The chain crosses both continents: boats and zeppelins are on the world map. The numbers on each picture match the steps under it.

Burned-Out Remains
Nailed Plank

Each faction starts on its own continent and finishes on the other. The Burned-Out Remains are the burned body of a traveller, and a Nailed Plank stands beside them.

Alliance

In Westfall, click the Burned-Out Remains at 37.4, 50.6, in the burned field of Alexston Farmstead. It starts ...and that note you found.
In the Barrens, go to the burned-out tower at 46.4, 73.9, on the Field of Giants south of Camp Taurajo. Click the Burned-Out Remains or the Nailed Plank to hand it in.
Take Stepping Stones from the Nailed Plank.

Horde

In the Barrens, click the Burned-Out Remains at 46.4, 73.9, by the burned-out tower on the Field of Giants. It starts ...and that note you found.
In Westfall, go to the burned field of Alexston Farmstead at 37.4, 50.6. Click the Burned-Out Remains or the Nailed Plank to hand it in.
Take Stepping Stones from the Nailed Plank.

Stonetalon Mountains

A path leaves the road at 50.9, 52.3, north-east of Sun Rock Retreat, and climbs west across the mountain.
It ends at an abandoned camp at 40.7, 52.4. Click the Pocket Litter on a box by the tent: it hands in Stepping Stones and starts Scramble.
Climb the hill north of the camp. The Mound of Dirt is at 39.6, 49.9, across a gap you have to jump. Click it: it hands in Scramble and starts Wet Job.

Optional: the Firepit in the middle of the camp starts Rekindle. Light it with the Simple Wood and the Flint and Tinder that Stepping Stones gave you, and you get the Flint and Tinder back. The chain does not need it.

Sun Rock Retreat is a Horde town: Alliance players pass close to its guards.

Loch Modan, Stonewrought Dam

Go to the Stonewrought Dam, at the north end of Loch Modan, 49.4, 12.9.
Walk out along the dam, face north towards the Wetlands and drop onto the carved dwarf heads below the top. The Carved Figurine sits on them.
Click it: it hands in Wet Job and starts Eagle's Fist.

The dam is guarded by the Alliance: Horde players, mind the guards.

Thoradin's Wall

On the Hillsbrad side of Thoradin’s Wall, south-east of Durnholde Keep, a cart stands against the wall at 87.4, 49.7. Jump on it and climb onto the wall.
Go through the room inside the wall and look out to your right: the Messenger Bag hangs there, at 22.4, 24.2 (Arathi Highlands). Click it: it hands in Eagle's Fist and starts This Must Be The Place.
Click the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel just under it. That ends the chain, and the Cozy Sleeping Bag is yours.

What the bag does

Use: Unfurl a sleeping bag. Resting inside for at least one minute will provide a bonus to experience earned, stacking up to 3 times. (60 Min Cooldown)

"Old, but still good"

Unrolling it: Takes 15 seconds, standing still. The bag stays on the ground for 20 minutes, and you can unroll it again after an hour.
The bonus: Each full minute you lie in it adds a stack of Well-Rested: 1% more experience from kills and from quests, up to 3 stacks. Well-Rested lasts two hours, twice the bag’s cooldown, so you can keep 3% up all the time: unroll the bag once an hour or two and lie in it three minutes.
Two hours, not one: Other guides say the bonus lasts one hour. In the beta client it lasts two hours (7,200 seconds), as in Season of Discovery: the hour is the bag’s cooldown.
Resting: Players say that lying in the bag counts as resting, as in an inn. We have not checked it.

Student Fodder: Trail food, not rested experience. In Season of Discovery, eating it also gave rested experience. That effect is gone from the Forever beta client: a handful now heals 500 health at once and 1,050 more over 12 seconds, and gives back 900 mana, 50 rage or 100 energy. One every 5 minutes, and they stack to 30. You get some with Scramble and some with the last quest.
