The quest chain

Night elves, tauren and Skyborne each have their own copy of the chain, with the same places.

   At level 20, your druid trainer gives you The Great Cat Spirit: Mathrengyl Bearwalker in the Cenarion Enclave of Darnassus (35.2, 8.0) or Turak Runetotem on Elder Rise in Thunder Bluff (76.4, 27.6). Then cast Teleport: Moonglade.

   In Nighthaven, Dendrite Starblaze (56.2, 30.4) sends you on to the spirit.

   The Great Cat Spirit waits on a hill above the bridge, in the south of Moonglade (54.6, 75.0). It gives you The Great Cat Spirit. Skyborne druids meet the Avatar of Saeyleenan instead, south of the twin bridges (44.0, 73.4), in The Great Windborne Cat Spirit.

   Bring back the three relics from the Stormrage Barrow Dens. The door is east of the lake (71.2, 61.5); click the statue in front of it before you go in.

   Hand the relics to the spirit, go back to Dendrite Starblaze, then home to your trainer with To Darnassus: your trainer teaches you Cat Form.

The quests for each race

High Order Skyborne start and finish in Darnassus, Windshaper Skyborne in Thunder Bluff. The quests in Moonglade also give reputation with the Cenarion Circle.

The statue at the door

Click it before you go in: Feline Blessing of the Silent Shadow hides you for five minutes, as long as you stay out of combat.

The spirits

They guard the relics and attack on sight. If one spots you through the stealth, shift to bear form and deal with it.

The three relics

Relic of the Fang, Relic of the Claw and Relic of the Silent Shadow, a few steps from each other. The Relic of the Silent Shadow is at the foot of the white cat statue shown at the top of this page.

At the relics

Until September 28, more than a hundred druids waited in line at the relics (Blizzard forum thread). After each loot the relic stayed empty for a few seconds, and some players clicked nonstop on purpose to block everyone else. Blizzard fixed the bug that day (Aggrend’s post).

• Group up with the druids around you. The relics are party loot: when a relic is there, every member of the group takes one. Five druids in a group loot the relic once instead of five times.
• Click until the cast starts. Since the fix, a click on the relic starts a cast, and the relic is yours when the bar fills.

What you learn

Your trainer teaches them when you hand in the last quest, free of charge.

  Shapeshift into cat form, increasing melee attack power by 12 plus Agility. Also protects the caster from Polymorph effects and allows the use of various cat abilities. The act of shapeshifting frees the caster of Polymorph and Movement Impairing effects.

  Allows the Druid to prowl around, but reduces your movement speed by 40%. Lasts until cancelled.

  Finishing move that causes damage over time. Damage increases per combo point and by your Attack Power: 1 point : 44 damage over 12 sec. 2 points: 71 damage over 12 sec. 3 points: 97 damage over 12 sec. 4 points: 124 damage over 12 sec. 5 points: 150 damage over 12 sec.

After the quest

Your cat can change look: with the five Fang pieces from Wailing Caverns on, Cat Form turns into a snake (how to get the snake form), and the barber offers other looks for it depending on your race (every look by race).
