Index Esoteria
Description
The same magic that sustains this island can be found lingering around the standing stones in the Shen'dar Highlands. Unfortunately, these are considered sacred sites and are under the direct protection of the Windshapers, which has made it difficult for us to study the magic present there.
With the Windshapers focused elsewhere, we have an opportunity to study the nature of this elemental magic.
Take this device to the standing stones and protect it as it gathers vital data. Be discreet, please.

When you come back
It's often difficult for me to establish a distinction between the Windshapers and the Al'Aketh, save that one is more overtly violent than the other. Equally dogmatic and slavish to their misplaced faith, they are both equally dangerous if left to their own devices.
This is why our mission is so critical.
On completion
It would not have been my preference to spill Windshaper blood but the blame for this conflict rests solely on their shoulders. You were dispatched to peacefully gather information and they chose to engage in violence.
Word has already spread and the Windshapers know what happened at the standing stones. They wouldn't dare to retaliate here in Valanaar, but they will certainly not forget.
Bfg, you have been of tremendous aid to the High Order. I can easily see what Rathiril saw in you.
